Banff Wedding Planner: Rocky Mountain Weddings & Events

Your wedding. Your way.

Rocky Mountain weddings are among some of the most beautiful and special in the world. The proof is in the popularity! Couples from all over the world choose this extraordinary area to celebrate their special day.

And it’s not just the spectacular scenery that draws people to the Canadian Rockies. There’s something in the mountain air, a kind of magic that can’t be described — only felt.

Rocky Mountain Weddings & Events is a local Banff wedding planning team that strives to bring the community of wedding gurus together in one place. They are building a brand that strives to support local businesses. The refreshed brand and website, attracts couples with a modern aesthetic to who want to plan a distinctively personal celebration of their love.

They are all about connecting couples with people who will help them create their perfect Canadian Rocky Mountain wedding experience.

The Process

We understand that planning a destination wedding means placing a lot of trust in your wedding vendors. That’s why our team has been carefully chosen, trained, and has years of experience in weddings & hospitality to guarantee exceptional service.

We are fortunate enough to call the Rocky Mountains home — we live, work, and play in the Banff and Canmore area. We know exactly how to help you discover the very best the Rocky Mountains have to offer.

When you reach out to our team, you’re not just contacting a business. You’re connecting with real people, each of us personally invested to help lighten the planning load for you and your partner.

We care as much about your wedding experience as you do – people with passion, enthusiasm, and experience who are committed to creating the perfect day with you.

Our Owner

Dr. Lindsay Copeland is an award-winning Banff wedding photographer and has been based in the Bow Valley area since 2015. Living in the Canadian Rockies has allowed her to grow her passion and document love stories in this beautiful setting.

You could say that Lindsay has always had “vision.” Having graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a B.Sc. in Physiology, she then went on to the University of Waterloo to complete her Doctor of Optometry (OD).

But moving to the Rockies to practice as an Optometrist only fuelled the fire for Lindsay to continue pursuing her other passion: photography. Lindsay established Rocky Mountain Photo Co. and has been capturing love stories on lakeshores and mountaintops ever since.

Lindsay’s vision is to connect couples with the very best we have to offer in the Banff and Canmore area led to naturally wanting to help plan and coordinate events. It was a natural fit to take over Rocky Mountain Weddings from previous owner, Julie Padgett, in November of 2020.

Let’s Celebrate

We’re so proud to have created a business that encapsulates the community of the Rocky Mountains and the way we all come together to create and be part of the most memorable days of people’s lives.

Come follow Rocky Mountain Weddings & Events on Instagram to keep up with our story as we continue to grow our connections in Banff, Canmore, Lake Louise, and Emerald Lake. Stay tuned for upcoming blogs to learn more about our team and what we have to offer!

We’re so excited for the journey ahead – here’s to walking the path together!
