The owners, Marcus and Carolyn Abrahamsson, met ten years ago in Bequia, a small island in the Caribbean. Marcus grew up there with his Swedish parents and learned to cook from his mother, who is also a chef. Carolyn regularly vacationed with her family in Bequia, and it was there that they met and decided to embark on a lifelong adventure together. They shared a love for cooking and hospitality and decided to start their own little family in Canmore. They now have two children, a dog and run Creekside Villa and Devil’s Table restaurant together.

Are there any differences between summer and winter wedding options at the venue?
All our rates are based on the number of guests and the season. During the high season (May – October), we require all 12 hotel rooms to be booked for two nights. This makes for the perfect mountain getaway with all your closest friends and family staying at the Villa with you. During the slower season (November – April), this is not a requirement.
Elopements (20 people or less) are only available midweek during the high season and seven days per week during the slower season.

How do we secure dates?:
We require a $2,500 deposit that is non-refundable.
What happens if it is raining for my outdoor ceremony?:

The proof is in the reviews! Creekside Villa has received lots of kind words from couples who have chosen the venue to celebrate their special day:
“We got married [at Creekside] in August. We wanted to get married in the mountains but wanted an intimate wedding. After we came across Creekside Villa, and it was everything we were looking for and more! Creekside helped take care of everything we needed for the day of our wedding (food, booze, rentals, day-of coordinator, planning, etc.). The food was absolutely amazing, the space is beautiful and gives you that mountain lodge feeling, plus having all our family and wedding party able to stay with us was perfect! Our friends and family cannot stop talking about how amazing everything was! Rain or shine Creekside made our day perfect, and Manon and the staff were wonderful to work with. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone!”
