Their story

The owners, Marcus and Carolyn Abrahamsson, met ten years ago in Bequia, a small island in the Caribbean. Marcus grew up there with his Swedish parents and learned to cook from his mother, who is also a chef. Carolyn regularly vacationed with her family in Bequia, and it was there that they met and decided to embark on a lifelong adventure together. They shared a love for cooking and hospitality and decided to start their own little family in Canmore. They now have two children, a dog and run Creekside Villa and Devil’s Table restaurant together.

All our rates are based on the number of guests and the season. During the high season (May – October), we require all 12 hotel rooms to be booked for two nights. This makes for the perfect mountain getaway with all your closest friends and family staying at the Villa with you. During the slower season (November – April), this is not a requirement.

Elopements (20 people or less) are only available midweek during the high season and seven days per week during the slower season.

Mountain modern rustic and a home away from home.

What are the most frequently asked questions you hear from couples?

How do we secure dates?:

We require a $2,500 deposit that is non-refundable.

What happens if it is raining for my outdoor ceremony?:

We can move the ceremony inside at an additional charge of $300. This decision can be made the morning of the event before 10am. Our staff does need 2-3 hours to flip the room if you decide to get married inside.

What is the maximum capacity?:

80 people is the absolute max for the venue space, and we cannot make any exceptions to this.

Do you have a minimum spend?:

Yes, we have a minimum spend on food and alcohol of $150 per person. This minimum spend applies only to the day of the wedding. All food purchased on the day prior does not apply.

We allow wine to be brought in for the wedding for a corkage fee of $20 per bottle. Any wine the couples bring must be placed on tables and cannot be served by the glass from the bar. Guests may also bring their own alcohol to consume in the hotel rooms. All public areas are licensed, and therefore personal alcohol cannot be consumed in these areas.

What bar options are available?:

We can do any style of bar (cash, host, toonie, drink tickets). We keep track of all alcohol consumed on our POS system, and any guest contributions will be deducted from the final invoice.
